Hockey season is just around the corner and that also means brand new opportunities for our junior members to play for the Eastern Metro Hotshots zone representative team. This event is the pinnacle junior hockey event for the winter season for all aspiring juniors in Victoria.

In recent years our club has been represented by a growing numbers of players and coaches who have achieved some remarkable results.

In 2020 the eleventh edition of the Junior State Championships (in its current format) will take place in Regional Victoria. If you missed the announcement, further information is available here – https://hockeyvictoria.org.au/jsc-2020-to-be-hosted-in-regional-victoria/ 

This event is the top junior hockey event for all aspiring junior hockey players and officials in Victoria. Six metropolitan zones and four regional zones will compete in both boys and girls divisions for Under 13, 15 and 18. 

What: 2020 Junior State Championships

When: Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th July, 2020 (*note the change away from the traditional Tuesday – Friday)

Where: Bendigo Regional Hockey Centre (All Girls Divisions) & Shepparton Hockey Centre (All Boys Divisions)

Trials: Sunday 19th April (U15 & U18) & Sunday 26th April (U13). Each player will need to nominate through the Hockey Victoria website: https://www.revolutionise.com.au/vichockey/events/61287/

There is a nomination fee of $30. Player nominations close 10.00am Wednesday 15th April (U15 & U18) & 10.00am Wednesday 22nd April (U13).

This is a great way for young players to experience a high level of hockey competing against other talented kids from all over Victoria. This event will help to further develop skills under the guidance of seasoned coaches, in an environment that encourages them to improve and achieve their best.
