It was an early game down at Peninsula, with players, parents and coaches all stressing about getting to the game on time! Playing with two U12 players and no bench, there were some early challenges to this game. However, in true fighting spirit the girls pulled together and played a lovely first half to score 3:0 up. Goals were scored by Chloe Lampard, Amy Woodward and Olivia Saunders (first goal ever for Olivia – congratulations!). The two coaches were happy to see what they’ve trained put into a game day situation with some beautiful passing and a great press keeping things going our way.
A change in strategy by Mornington in the second half saw them score an early goal, but a tired Knox held off the challenge and finished the game 3:1 winners. Amazing game to watch, great team work – well done girls!
