Women’s VL1 vs West Vic | 3-2 WIN | T.King (2), T.Hux
Looking to build from last week, the VL1 women hit the State Hockey Centre with the mantras of “believe and breathe,” and “Smile!”
The team struggled in the first half with both the turf and West Vic’s short passing game and found themselves doing a fair bit of defending. Consequently they were 2 nil down at half time.
After some reorganisation and a few encouraging words the team responded and controlled the majority of the second half scoring 3 times, twice from Taylah King within 10 minutes and a great Captain’s Goal off a corner form Tayla Huxtable.
Best Tux, Tay K, Laura F and many more could have gained votes.
